Ask and it is Given

I wish to put my focus on evolving my language, rather than semantic debates or 'rules of proper language',
because I take a stand behind words having power.
So rather than saying "Ask and you shall receive," I say "Ask and it is given"!
This is for two reasons:
To remind me that I am part of a Universal family that is willing to invest in my growth,
and also to remind me that it is all up to me TO receive, as well as to recognize when I'm being given a gift!

Sounds good to me. I am asking for a couple of things right now. I need to be ready to recieve . I am giving spirit a chance to express through me as well as recieving the gifts of the universe. It's all the same stuff, moving through me , as me and to me. And indeed I am ready ( but afriad too) . I feel it coming.

i like that. i assume you have read abraham's book "ask and it is given." i have a feeling they would agree with your semantic distinctions.

I have heard from a few teachers that it really is the Law of Allowing.

to me, the law of allowing is a slightly different variation.... one website says it well: The Universal Law of Allowing means dropping all judgments and all emotional attachments to what others are, have, or do.

as in live and let live, go with the flow, what is, is. or as the beatles said... let it be ;^)

        :)

I am very conscious of manifesting by not imposing my will upon other people's wills and wanting to have the highest good for all concerned whatever that means. I also find that I block my good so focusing on allowing it is key for me.

i definitely see what you mean, queenie, and agree. allowing what is outside to be what it is is important, and allowing ourselves to receive what we have manifested is important as well.

and the knowledge that in each moment our choices in how we respond to them are creating vibrations to magnetize our future.

funny balance of allowing and choosing how to respond.

Yeah, Abraham-Hicks was a trip for me. I am coming out of a pretty cynical, suspicious space, and hearing her front that odd 'Romanian/gypsy' accent just shut my ears down. Thankfully I began READING her words, and analyzed it from a heartspace rather than my egotisical head, I found they were conchordant with my own vibration!~ And if you know me at all on tribe, I am ALL about the vibe :D

I am greatful she drops the accent, and clued her inner circle on who she is really channeling- The Source! (well, who else is there?)
But I needed her to be all 'Madame Blavasky' back then, so I could learn this lesson.

hearing old recordings is odd, since i'm very used to the normal voice that she uses now. though i've never thought of it as fronting anything, i think it was a matter of adjusting to how the words come out. whereas ramtha never sounded real to me.

abraham content is flawless to me, always, and the words are so perfect. i've read and studied a lot over the years, but abraham is the most easily understood and philosophically consistent with things i feel like i've always known, but forget. i prefer videos and cds to books, though, interestingly. maybe because esther reminds me of my mom.

the way esther moves when chanelling is a message in itself, too... being a dancer - this means a world to me, and speaks loads...

and, yes, esther sounds "real"... whereas other chanellers' words sound true - but the voice or body language is just plain weird... esther seems to be the most comfortable with chanelling process of them all...

(just a question OT: is that accent in the early er years of a-h chanelling really - romanian/gypsy?... i'm not a native english spaker so i just found it different but couldn't point how different...)

I have no idea Kaalii... Though mostly closed minded, I did give new paradigms a chance. I attended meetings of Theosophists and Thelemites, and though I judge none of the individuals I met, as groups they were prone to certain 'theatrics' that compare to stereotypical Hollywood gypsy seances! I've been bitten before, and as a famous philosopher from Nazareth once said; "Beware of charasmatics" So when I thought Abraham sounded a little 'Roma', well....

As for the way Esther 'Abraham' Hicks moves, it is amazing and flowing (like modern dance!), a good reason to watch video of her seminars or attend one personally. You can almost see energy flowing out of her with the way her hands and feet move. If you start channeling it yourself, you get really good at recognizing it's source! :D

Daryl Anka has been saying the same stuff as an entity named Bashar for 25 years or more. He is awesome too.

Yeah Dave, Nick told me all about him! lol
It's all source, just different flavors~
Bashir is strawberry, Abraham is chocolate! :)

abraham, bashar, seth, all different voices with the same fundamental message. bashar is very interesting, though the alien aspect distracts me. seth is remarkable, such complex teachings of the basics and aspects of metaphysics.

yes, all source, different flavors. if you haven't read bashar or seth, i highly recommend it, particularly seth. i made my way through three volumes of seth, and it was interesting to watch myself as i absorbed the complexity of explanations -- while i read it, it made complete sense, but afterwards, it was hard for me to recall what it was i understood. i knew i'd read truth, but it didn't stick in any way that made practical sense to me on a day-to-day level.

abraham, on the other hand, sticks with me, because the language and storytelling is absorbable, like water and a sponge.
